AKRO-MILS CONTINUES ISO 9001: 2000 REGISTRATION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Akron, OH (January 2006)— Akro-Mils, a leading manufacturer of plastic, metal, and wood storage, organization, and material handling products, continues registration to ISO 9001:2000 International Quality Standard. Certification is under Smithers Quality Assessments, Inc. Registration and certification was awarded initially in 2000 in recognition of Akro-Mils' compliance with quality process standards and effective quality management systems in the design, production and distribution of plastic and metal products. In February 2003, Akro-Mils was successful in the upgrade certification from ISO 9001:1994 to the current ISO 9001:2000 International Quality Standard.

Recently Akro-Mils was again successful in re-certification to ISO 9001:2000. In 2005, the Sandusky facility was certified to ISO9001:2000 in April and the Wadsworth facility was re-certified in November.

Conformance to ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance standards required the implementation of procedural changes, training, increased documentation, and adjustments to operating systems on every level of the manufacturing and distribution processes at Wadsworth and Sandusky, Ohio. ISO certification visibly demonstrates to current and potential customers Akro-Mils commitment to quality and service. ISO requires continuous improvement and quality planning throughout each stage of product development, production, customer service and product delivery. The re-certification of our facilities supports the continuing commitment to quality.

ISO 9000 is a series of internationally-recognized standards developed by the International Organization of Standardization which define requirements for the implementation of quality systems in operational procedures.
